All of our amazing seven clubs battle tirelessly each season to put teams on the floor. The committees, sponsors, coaches and volunteers of your club invest their time and money into our sport to try and help everyone that enters Star FM Stadium feel that your time is valued.
Enjoyment of all of our members is a priority and we hope that supporting our clubs and members to prioritise even competition is important.
To help keep our clubs healthy we are instituting a new process to ensure that our clubs are getting the best information available to them as to why they may either be gaining new players from other clubs or losing members to other clubs.
All players now wishing to transfer clubs will need to complete the link below. Townsville Basketball will then review and approve the applications to transfer and work with clubs and individuals to ensure that our club system thrives.

In addition to our changes to our transfer protocols we have also made some alterations, with the support of the clubs, as to how teams can be formed to ensure that opportunities are in place for new members to join our basketball family.
Commencing from the Winter Season all teams entered into the competition will be required to have a minimum of 5 players from that age group. The team can then be added too with players playing second games from the age group below. Only in exceptional circumstances will teams be able to field a team that does not meet the 5 player requirement and this will be done only after the approval of Townsville Basketball.
Due to these changes the ability to pay an immediate second game fee when registering has been removed from the registration process. All payments of permanent second game fees will be made directly through the Townsville Basketball office and will only be accepted once a club approves this player has a confirmed spot from a club.
