Townsville Basketball is runs an introduction to basketball program called "Heat & Flames Rookies". 

This program is designed for kids aged between and including, 6 years old to 12 years old, who are looking to try basketball. This program provides both skill development and explanation of the game through fun drills, modified games and exciting game play. 

Each program is run by elite coaches and players with experiences ranging from NBL, WNBL, NBL1, Junior Australian Representative, State Level Representative and Townsville Representative levels. We only provide the top level coaches to ensure that all participants are maximising their opportunity in our program. 

 Our Townsville Basketball Rookies Program will be run on Saturday mornings from 8.00am to 9.00am for 7 weeks of the school term. This will consist of  skill, drills and modified games.

Participant cost is $100.00  New members will need  to purchase their their own Heat & Flames Rookies Program T-Shirt and basketball with this registration.(Cost $30). 

Our School Based Rookies Program will be run in the afternoon at your school for 5 weeks of the school term. This will consist of  skill, drills and modified games.

Participant cost is $70.00  This includes their own Heat & Flames Rookies Program T-Shirt and basketball with this registration.
