LATE NIGHT HOOPS

WILL RETURN IN TERM 2, COMMENCING ON FRIDAY 2ND MAY

Townsville Basketball, in partnership with the Queensland Government, provide a socially inclusive opportunity for our Townsville youth aged 12-18 to engage in community sporting, health & wellbeing physical activity and mentoring initiatives.

LATE NIGHT HOOPS - TOWNSVILLE uses sport as a vehicle to positively engage high-risk youth’s aged 12-18. It helps them develop critical life skills while addressing crime and anti-social behaviour, ultimately benefiting the wider community.

This project will also provide a platform for community groups, service organisations, local police, and the Department of Youth Justice to collaborate. Together, they will deliver services and assess the needs of marginalised youths who are at high risk of, or already involved with, the criminal justice system.
