Norma connolly recognised by townsville basketball with life membership
Last night at the 2019 Townsville Basketball AGM a resolution was passed by the TBI executive to award Norma Connolly OAM Life Membership of Townsville Basketball.
Norma has been a stalwart of Townsville Basketball for a number of decades and her ongoing service continues to this day as she will lead the Under 14 Lightning Girls into battle this weekend at the Queensland North Basketball Challenge and then in October to the Basketball Queensland State Championships.
The decision was announced in front of a number of Townsville Basketball current Life Members who welcome Norma as the first person to be awarded the honour since 2013 when Eric Iwanicki was inducted.
