GRIT Mindset partners with townsville basketball rep program
Townsville Basketball is excited to announce GRIT Mindset to its Junior Representative Program. GRIT Mindset is founded by Townsville Basketball stalwarts Julia and Tim Duroux.
As part of our program they will focus on helping give our representative players and coaches assistance into the mental preparation required to excel for their teams.
"We're super excited to be working with Townsville Basketball and the Junior Rep program. We are passionate about building strong mindsets within athletes to not only tackle challenges that occur in the sporting arena, but give athletes skills they can use for everyday life and turn them into well-rounded individuals" said GRIT Director and Facilitator Tim Duroux.
"There is nothing better than being a part of a strong team and being a part of an organisation with great culture. GRIT Mindset loves working with sporting organisations, athletes and coaches to build strong communication and culture in their teams. We look forward to further building capacity of coaches and players at Townsville Basketball in order to build strong culture in the Rep ranks of Townsville Basketball."
GRIT Director and Facilitator Julia Duroux added "We're off to a flying start completing 2 sessions of the first 4-session workshop with the four Under 14 Rep teams. It's fantastic to see the enthusiasm and involvement of the athletes and team staff. Looking forward to completing our first course with the Townsville Basketball Rep Program."
The addition of GRIT Mindset to the work already being done by Pride Human Performance provides a more complete program for the Townsville Basketball athletes development as part of our Representative Program.
“Not only are we fortunate to have such great off court partners with GRIT Mindset and Pride Human Performance working with our athletes but to have this provided at no extra cost to our athletes through the generous contributions of Grill’d Townsville and Tropical Packaging we are truly thankful” said Townsville Basketball General Manager Mark Wrobel.
“Whatever tools we can put in place to try and assist our athletes not only perform better but get support in their development as a player and also as a person is key to the culture we are trying to drive through our programs".”
